Close Protection & Security’s uniformed security officer division is a service offered to Houston, Texas and the Greater Houston area.
Deterring crime is accomplished by maintaining a highly visible, alert and commanding presence. The primary duty of a security officer is to observe and report. As a key part of site security and access control, security officers serve as visible points of contact for visitors while conducting property patrols and/or manning checkpoints.
Armed security officers are trained in safe handling and presentation of firearms. State law requires recertification every two years by completing six hours of continuing education, a written examination, and a demonstration of firearm proficiency by qualifying on a live range.
